JiveWorld 17 - Announcements

Jive had a few big announcements during this conference that
surprised me and reinstilled faith in their platform.
First, they announced they were being acquired by Aurea, a
CX company. (TechCrunch). This from the standpoint of product suites
looks to be a great merger for both companies of similar size. In the end, fingers crossed it will benefit
the platform and customers.
Second, they made a few bold road map announcements during
their Product Keynote. The net of the
enhancements in my opinion they will remove the barrier between external and
internal communities with cross network permissions and entitlements providing
a simpler why to work across multiple communities with one data SOR avoiding
duplicate content.
All in all, I am excited to see what comes next from the Jive platform specifically for external communities.
